PORSCHE 911

This is a lovely example of the 997 C2S Cabriolet but is not to our usual retail standards and as it is winter we have decided to offer it as a winter bargain.

The exterior is finished in blue and the bodywork overall is in excellent condition, but it has a slight colour mismatch on the rear bumper when you examine it closely, and personally I dislike the 'S' badge being painted in red - but each to their own....

The 19in Carrera S alloys are in great condition overall with no major damage and are on good tyres with decent tread. The blue hood works perfectly with no issues. There is a slight chip on the rear light lens at the corner.

Moving to the inside and the car has the 6 speed manual gearbox and the blue leather interior which is also in excellent condition for its age and mileage along with PCM and sport Chrono.

The car comes with two keys, but is missing the manual pack - though it has the stamped service book with a great service history with 9 services in 17 years as follows -

As servicing is every two years on 997 models the car should be serviced in 2023 though it has only done 4,000 miles in the last two years.

So why the bargain price?

Although small issues on the outside that don't detract from the car, they are all things we would need to address - so painting the bumper; replacing the light etc. which adds to the cost and may not be an issue to some buyers, just like the missing book pack as the important service record is there.

The MOT has expired and we just put it through a test and it needed two new rear brake pipes which have been done and a new MOT issued; but it also has an advisory on a power steering pipe for corrosion, so there may be more costs to come.

Whilst in the garage they identified a few more items like one condenser needs replacing affecting the AC; front crossover pipes need doing; one rear ride height sensor is seized and the link arm broken; the exhaust clamps are riusty and one is cracked etc.

So in essence we are selling the car 'with faults' and would encourage anyone to inspect the car so they know what they are getting. But it is being sold at a big saving against the market and will still come with a warranty on the major components for the new owner for 6 months as you would expect.

Finance can be arrange and part exchange is always welcome.

If it were April we would keep the car and do the work and sell it at a premium in the summer, but as it is January we are offering it at a bargain trade price to clear.
