MORRIS MINI

This stunning Mk3 Mini Cooper S finished in Glacier white with a black roof and black interior.

BMT185H was first registered in July 1970 and the Heritage certificate confirms that this is a genuine Mk3 Mini Cooper S supplied to the home market in RHD.

The original engine which is still present today produced 78 bhp and was fitted with the 4 speed fully synchromesh gearbox. A dyno graph shows the engine is producing around 89bhp (65.9kw) since the rebuild.

Being an older restoration the body presents in excellent condition throughout. The replacement shell looks to have been manufactured by Longbridge which would indicate the time frame of the restoration. On the inside it appears to be the original black perforated seats and black carpet. Original 15" steering wheel which is rare to find, A smiths rev counter and voltage meter has been fitted with a 12v connection for the modern gadgets that we can't live without.

Looking through the history file we can see that a engine and gearbox overhaul/refresh was carried out in 2013/2014 judging by the parts that were purchased.
The car was originally supplied with wet suspension but during the restoration a new shell with new subframes were fitted converting the car to dry suspension.

BMT185H was shipped to the US in 2003 before finding its way to Finland where it was found by the current owner in a Finnish museum. The Cooper S is sat on the original 10inch steel wheels but to complement the car a very nice original set of Minilite alloy wheels are also supplied with the car.

The car is back in the UK and on the original registration number with UK V5.
The history file is showing 8 former keepers and is documented to only have 24090 miles since new.
