MG TF

Here we have a wonderful low mileage example of the rare limited edition MG TF LE500.

After SAIC acquired the MG brand, they re-launched in the UK with a run of 500 Limited Edition MG TF models which were supplied with a very high specification. Each unit is numbered and can also be checked as original from their specific chassis numbers, with this one being number 342.

The LE500 has the 1.8 16v K series engine putting out 136 BHP, and came standard with a body coloured hard top as well as the normal hood with heated rear glass screen. The standard wind deflector is fitted and the car retains its original tonneau cover. Inside the car has leather sports seats which are in excellent condition showing minimal wear. A/C is standard, as well as a Pioneer radio with iPod connector - all original; electric windows and remote central locking.

Finished in Graphite Grey the exterior is really good with only the most minor of small scuffs or scratches which are shown in the photos along with a small rust spot on the drivers door edge. The car sits on the 16in multi-spoke alloy wheels, and these have Toyo tyres with excellent tread. The wheels could no doubt benefit from a refurb over the winter to really set the car off. Brakes are the multi pot versions with callipers in red.

We have just put the car through an MOT which it passed with zero advisories, and the MOT tester commented on how clean the car is. The car was previously supplied by Trophy Cars who did their normal extensive preparation including a new cam belt, and still wears their plates; and has had the cam belt and water pump changed again after that in November 2023. There is some early service history - pictured - and we have receipts for further work evidenced by the stamps on the door jamb including the cam belt change.

These LE500 models are by their very nature collectable and this is one of the nicest we have seen. It is not our normal stock so we are offering this as it is and offers an amazing opportunity to acquire one these rare models at a very attractive price. With a full clean MOT and excellent history this is one to detail over the winter and have ready for the spring.
